Crowne Plaza Key West - The Key West Crowne Plaza has one of the best locations for accommodations in the whole city. It's right on Duval Street, and because of its tall size, has wonderful views of the whole island from its rooftop bar and balcony. The lobby is gorgeous, with high ceilings, rustic ceiling fan systems, plush chairs and indoor palm trees. It's the perfect resting spot for a day of strolling up and down Duval Street. There's a Starbucks attached, which you can enter from the lobby for convenience. There's also a fine dining restaurant off the lobby, which has an entrance on the street but which you can enter from the lobby too. We were so impressed with the lobby we go back often just to soak it all up!
If you go up to the top floor, there's a nice Key West bar on the roof, and pass through the glass doors out onto the balcony for a refreshing far-flung view of the idland. It's good to elevate yourself above the congestion of Duval and get a whole different perspective on Key West. We adore the Key West Crowne Plaza for this treat, one which is not offered by any other place on Duval. |
