Hemingway Days - Around July 17 to the 22nd Key West goes all out for its favorite famous resident, Ernest Hemingway. Hemingway lived in Key West from 1928 to 1939 and For Whom the Bell Tolls during that time. He hung out at Sloppy Joe's Bar and did lots of sportfishing. He lived hard and played hard and Key West loves him for that. Hemingway Days's main events are Ernest Hemingway Lookalike Contest, Arm Wrestling Contests, and Running of the Bulls down Duval Street.
