Key West Songwriters Festival - Each year songwriters flood the city and we get all the live music we can handle for a week. It's a great time, and great performers from all over give shows in local bars, restaurants, hotels, and even the local artsy cinema hosts a show, since even the plethora of venues in Key West isn't enough for so many songwriters and performers.
It's basically five days of nonstop performances by songwriters from all over. Various bars, restaurants and our local independent movie house, Tropic Cinema, host the performers. Hog's Breath has probably the most performers. Songwriters debut new material here so it's exciting. Audiences are appreciative, the weather is great, and it's a great atmosphere for both performers and audiences.
Most of the performances are FREE! The ones held at Tropic Cinema are not free, so purchase tickets in advance if you want to attend. |
