Halleluja Chorus at United Methodist Church - At the Key West United Methodist Church, Handel's Messiah is performed every year for the citizens of Key West. It takes place at the beginning of December, to get the season going early. They've been doing this for a quarter of a century, and organ, piano, and almost 100 performers join together to make a full-day celebration and all are welcome.
Timpani drums also accompany the singers, who practice for three hours during the day, then give a free performance in the evening, usually around 8 pm. All this takes place at the Key West United Methodist Church. The church is located at 600 Eaton Street in Old Town |
