If you're fishing and want to rent a boat for the week, the most economical size you can get away with would be a 21-foot or so. This medium-sized boat will get you out to the reef even if the chop is 2-3 foot waves. Usually the weather isn't that rough most of the year outside of Springtime. Winter can be rough but there are calmer days in between. Springtime is constantly windy.
