Fantasy Fest 2009 Friday & Saturday Night

Friday & Saturday Nights and Fantasy Fest 2009 is really rockin’ out there. All kinds of creative costumes in the street, everyone’s having a great time. The American Gladiators were some of my favorites…it looks like some body builders really chose the right costumes. I love Fantasy Fest!

Fantasy Fest 2009 Thursday Night

This was my third Fantasy Fest and I’m already starting to recognize people. I guess they love it as much as I do. My favorite costumes always seem to involve headdresses…take a look at these! There’s also a picture of the street performer, I don’t know his name, but he’s here in Key West at Mallory Square and on Duval Street even when Fantasy Fest isn’t happening. Someone told me he’s from NYC, where he also used to perform. His act is great- he does a flip through a hoop that’s held high above a girl’s back.

Fantasy Fest 2009 Red Party

Red costumes are so much fun… here are photos taken in front of Fogarty’s, where the Red Party was held on Wednesday night during Fantasy Fest 2009. My vote for best Red costume is Li’l Orphan Annie. Best Overall Costume of Fantasy Fest 2009 is also pictured here. He was all decked out as the Devil, awesome makeup job, like movie-quality professionally done.

This is the big night, when the crowd doubles and the parade starts at 7. Â So many people in the streets, and as always, great costumes and great people.

Some really wild costumes this night. Â The Pheonix costume was terrific, and so was the Raggedy Ann and Andy couple. Â

Toga Party, Fantasy Fest 2008

As always, Sloppy Joe’s Toga Party brings out some great costumes. Â The 2 tall men with the black feather headdress were impressive. Â Their headdress feathers were amazing. Â I wonder, does body paint wash off in the rain? Â It rained this night, and one guy’s toga was merely painted on!

Monday Night- Kelly’s Leather Bondage Party

There was a Leather party at 801 Bourbon, called Dungeons and Dragons, but Leather fetishists could also go on over to Kelly’s, where they had a leather party too. Â Here are some of the hilights from outside the party, plus some more from Duval Street.

Fantasy Fest 2008 -Sunday Night

Sunday night, October 19. 2008. Â Mel Fisher’s Museum had a Hot Wench and Wicked Pirate Tea Dance in their courtyard. Â You can see the the tea dance location in the picture below, taken around 5pm. Â Little action but it got warmed up later on Duval. Â Pirates and Wenches roaming the street all night.
